Rudd Furnace not Heating Properly

The unit was not providing proper heating, prompting a thorough inspection of the outdoor equipment. We discovered a piece of an old contactor lodged under the reversing valve terminals, causing a short. After removing the obstruction, the unit resumed normal operation and effectively heated the space.

Customer stated no air was coming through vents

Upon evaluating the heating unit, we found it operational but identified a potential nuisance trip, likely due to high winds. We increased the thermostat by 2 degrees, ensuring the system satisfied and shut off properly before we left. Additionally, we confirmed that the blower and inducer amps were within specifications and that the gas pressure was optimal.

Comfortmaker not heating the home

Upon arrival, the thermostat was found to be off due to a recent power outage that affected the unit. We identified a blown 3 amp fuse after checking the power supply, which was delivering 120 volts. Although the 24v reading at the R and C terminals showed 27 volts, nothing was coming out of the board. We recommended replacing both the board and transformer to restore functionality.
